WEST ORANGE -- Township police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old Montclair woman from a suspected drug overdose, authorities confirm.
The victim was discovered at a local hotel on January 18, said township spokeswoman Susan Anderson.
Police have declined to release the woman's name or provide additional detail of the circumstances of the discovery, citing an ongoing investigation into the incident.
The timing and exact cause of the woman's death are currently under investigation by the Essex County Medical Examiner's Office, Anderson said.
Authorities also declined to name the hotel were the woman was discovered.
