Group of teenagers were on their way back to New Jersey from the reality show auditions.
LOWER MAKEFIELD, Pa. -- A Bloomfield teenager has reportedly been found delinquent in an I-95 crash last summer that claimed the life of an 'American Idol' hopeful on her way home from auditions.
LeAnn Manochio, 18, was found delinquent earlier this month in a Bucks County, Pa. juvenile court on charges of homicide by motor vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, reckless endangerment, and traffic offenses, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
Manochio was behind the wheel of a 2003 Jeep Liberty that rolled over onto a median on Interstate 95 in Lower Makefield Township, Pa., police have said.
Natasha Bellott, 20, of Bloomfield, was killed in the crash, authorities have said.
According to the Courier Times, because Manochio was tried in juvenile court - she was 17 at the time of the crash - there is no mandatory sentencing. A sentencing judge will likely decide her fate in the next month or so, the report said.
Bucks County Assistant District Attorney Robert James did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the case.
Bellott was one of six people in the car who were on their way back from the Philadelphia auditions of the reality singing competition, authorities have said. Bellott was found with her audition ticket in her pocket, police have said.
Friends have remembered her as an aspiring singer who modeled her career after Justin Bieber's.
Authorities have claimed that Manochio was weaving and driving recklessly at the time of the accident. Several other passengers in the car suffered serious injuries, authorities have said.
