The suspects, 19 and 21, were caught shortly after the woman was robbed
Aliyah Napier NEWARK -- City police have arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of an elderly woman Monday night, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said.
Chelsea Fulton (Newark police) The victim, 67, told police she had been robbed of money and personal property around 6:30 p.m. near Treat Place and William Street.
City residents Aliyah T. Napier, 19, and Chelsea Fulton, 21, were arrested after they were located during a canvass of the area. The victim's cash and property were returned.
Napier and Fulton have each been charged with robbery and conspiracy.
