The Essex County Sheriff's Office is offering a $10,000 reward for info on the killing of an Irvington gas station attendant.
NEWARK -- The Essex County Sheriff's Office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the Oct. 26 killing of Ashiwin Patel.
Patel, 57, of Edison was fatally shot during at an attempted robbery at a Getty Gas Station in the 1000 block of Stuyvesant Ave. in Irvington.
Patel was working in the convenience store when two men wearing mask entered the store with guns, said Essex County Prosecutor's Office Katherine Carter.

No other details were immediately made available.
At this time, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made, Carter said. An investigation into the killing is ongoing, she said.
Officials are asking anyone with information is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
